the burj needs some neighbors i hope they throw up a few supertalls close to it to make it more of an arc to the top of the spire instead of flat then a huge building out of nowhere.

I saw a picture for sale in Madinat Jumairah. It is a picture of the whole Dubai skyline including Burj Dubai in B&W. Stunning, but didn't see the price.

Duabi is definitely different from Moscow. $1000 for this photo?
Here it will sell for $10, that too rarely.

In Dubai, citizens seem to throw money around frivolously.

I saw the same company in the Souk Al Bahar and many shopping malls.

Prices from 90-500 AED , depends on the size.

I saw another one at The Walk (JBR) they were selling pics for 1000-1500 AED.

I came on the thread inquiring about the closure of the Burj Khalifa, and you trolled my post without provocation....a matter of record.

I have no history of making negative posts against this project.

The BK will be opened soon according to reports.

It seems this elevator is the only way to the top. A flaw in the design.

I'm sure this was an isolated malfunction of the electrical system in the Burj Khalifa. It is by far the most fantastic building ever constructed. I've looked on this thread for years being amazed by the boom of Dubai, as well as the spectacle of this construction. It was designed by an American firm afterall, moscowboy. Do you think there's some conspiracy there?

The top floors should have multiple elevators. No floor should be restricted to just one elevator. That is my opinion.

Perhaps he has a realization that he has already reached the limit of posting idiotic statements in his previous posts, like the lifts and Russia being an advanced state.

Too many speculative statements MB that are really idiot.Hence the deletion.

I agree on some part : that's true dubai is a hell of an expensive city (even though all those indians are living there and the low-tax policy)...

i mean, just an example : i did helicopter city tours in many cities around the world (NYC, paris, san francisco, los angeles...)

in all those cities it costed less than 200 USD.

i wanted to do the same in dubai when i went there in 2007 : no company would allow such tour unless you pay 600 USD the very minimum !!

i was so shocked !

NOW to disagree with you, i never went to moscow . why ? the only time i seriously considered vistin' moscow all hotel rooms were starting at 200 USD a night...even the cheapest hotels !!!

i decided i will never visit that city (even in dubai you can find budget hotels).

Then i realized reading the internet that moscow was regularly ranked the most expensive city in the world.

just to know : you can sleep in most american or european big cities for around 50 USD a night...

The new fountains at the Boulevard entrance to the BK

Not as impressive today as not dancing and not so high.

Plenty time to get them in full activity.
