There is no climbing a ladder part in reaching the observation deck. It is on the 124th floor of the building which also has outdoor deck. The trip is done by elevator and takes around 1 minute.

Ticket prices are available on the main website for Burj Khalifa.

Looking at those night views of Burj Khalifa by Imre, and other forumers in flickr, some of those the light exposure on BK its O.K. but in other photos like this here: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4028/...74fcedc8_m.jpg there is not light (only few less) on the tower, and beyond (fountains, mall etc). I have noticed that a while ago, why some nights they choose to lightthem and other nights nope?

If I come to Dubai, i will certainly visit BK and the fountains.
I am sure millions around the world would like to visit Dubai for the same reasons.

One question: What is peak conventional and peak all liquids ?
Peak conventional is the production peak for conventional or "crude oil", that is the easy stuff extracted from Saudi Arabia or Texas for instance.

Peak "all liquids" if you include the fuel produced from tar sands, deep sea oil, etc

And this will for sure impact the number of people that can afford to go to Dubai (not even for the costs there, but the travel), in fact the current crisis is due to peak oil more than anything else.

Burj Khalifa has Otis elevators.
The fastest one is making 10 or 12,5 m/s (it holds the record for a double decker lift).

The overall world's fastest is still at Taipei 101 with 1010meter/min (16,8 m/s).

You got me on this one. I have no info on this but I couldn't find anything with a quick search so I don't believe it is. No idea if they applied for it either. Perhaps whoami or isicman would be able to enlighten us.

During my time there, I've never heard about LEED.

I know it is active in Qatar.
I've also seen some advertising about towers that will be built according to "Green Building" standards.

If you do make sure you are using the correct vodka bottles:

That heap of garbage is from Burj Khalifa used and other stuff? I remember talking about the garbage issue of BK...

Somewhere here i saw a post saying, if someone wants to go in the heigher level of Burj Khalifa, i dont know that. Is there a free access to mechanical floors? That will answer that question...
