Hi all.

A new twist on the OD closure.
I saw a vid on youtube some people shot the day before the closure. The outdoor deck was already closed for maintenance. There was broken glass on the deck.
Could just be a coincidence but they seem to think it has something to do with the closure.

The outdoor deck was closed 2 days before the lift incident.

Quite embarrassing situation.... so quickly after it opened...

They shouldn't rush things like that, as much as they want to get it open.

Someone dies or injured and its digging your own grave...

Took a couple of shots today and I think I know where the glass came from.

There's a broken window two floors below the terrace directly above the outside observation deck that was previously intact.

Very nice updated photos by Imre; a question: in the second-last photo (with the worker) what are doing, what is that stuff on the ground? In the photo he is ready to cut it...

Must say the groundwork and landscaping surrounding BK are really looking stunning now. Thanks, Imre!

So how many units the Khalifa Tower will have in all? I heard that there may be 900 residential units in the building.

144 Armani Residences below the Hotel (floors 9 to 16), 900 Residences above Hotel (about floors 40 to 120).

When shall first inhabitants go home to the Caliph Tower, again?

Sorry for not being on-topic. But just watched MTV, new Black Eyed Peas video.
From 5.27 minutes the Sheikh Zayed Road Skyscrapers are seen in de video. I can see clearly the Rose Rotana building (8.49) and Emirates Towers.
But from 5.23 something looks like the Burj Khalifa....?
