Thats true, they are moving the investors money outside UAE.

What I meant was what kind of cladding is done on the building?

Hi all.

Hi OTR.
- not bloody likely ...
Good on ya to get into the Burj. Can't wait for your hotel stay and all the interior shots.
Post your phone shots by all means.

Hi Altin.
The terrace in question is level 159 - the first level of tier 17.
It is at 614.9 elevation as per the official CTBUH numbers.
Here is page 4 of my plan to illustrate.

Surely it's not a real car???
Hi Gerald.
Great pano first off - a world record - gotta feel good about that.

I would say it's not a real car.
Here's my thinking :

Here is a print of level 159 terrace. The grid numbers lower left are 4.500 meters.

The "car" appears to be 3 cladding panels long. The panels are 1.21 meters wide making the thing only approx. 12 feet long (not factoring in the angle which makes it even less). Also that 12 feet would be front right corner to rear left corner - if it were a car.

Unfortunately there aren't many good aerial shots recently.
Here is a crop of one from 10 01 20 that shows the yellow item in question on the same terrace (center of the crop).

I enjoy trying to pinpoint this kind of stuff.

Fury. this should have been 888 tall.

I think they will increase height by telescopic extension at 8 seconds and 8 minutes past midnight on the 8th of August (8th month) of 2018.

By coincidence this was the 888th gin and tonic I have had this month.

Look at the receipt

Phone number 888
PO Box 888
Fax 888

For Fury as requested.

Taken from my Iphone as I did not expect to get inside, hence no decent camera with me., and cameras for other guests were being restricted as Georgio himself was in the hotel still.

I made a big mistake going out and ended up three floors below in the car park. Maybe was the Bombay taking effect?

Photos are very bad quality, but maybe give some idea of the inside.

Most are taken from the Armani reception, or the Armani lounge.

Hi Helghast.
I posted some shots from this guy many pages ago. I joked about the shot of the crude worker "bathroom" as the upper OD lavatory.
I dont think I posted the link to his album though - so good job.

Hi OTR.
Thanks for posting your iphone shots. Looks good in the lounge.

Security is strict inside and outside the BK.

They will not allow any freeloaders onto the premises which is pretty much like the Burk Al Arab, and no doubt will have a similar entry fee that will be discounted against the money spent.
