Hi Helghast.
Great stuff !!
I've been waiting for shots of the pics lining part of the OD walkway.
Some excellent early foundation work shots - among others.

Egggggzellent .....

Hi all.

A while ago I posted what I called a double exposure of some early work at the site. This came from the OD walkway and I figured out the shots are from an electronic screen and the photog took his shot right when the pics were changing. Thanks to Helghast (and Solange who posted them on Picasa) I now have both of them seperately.

Not a big deal to most here but here is one of them. It is taken just after excavation and the final dewatering system was in place (they would have had to set up an initial dewatering system before excavation). They are in the initial stages of setting up for piling. I dated it 04 01 (Jan 04). I have some shots from before and after the site and area were cleared and levelled but this one fills in a big gap.

Here is a shot of the raft pour that clearly shows it was done in 4 pours (the 3 wings then the core). I have 3 others of the pour and in 2 it can be seen they weren't pouring the whole raft but this shows things clearly.

Great find Helghast !

Are you kidding? If true, a terrific capture.

While service charges at Burj Khalifa will start at AED52.77 ($14.36) per sq ft for residential units and will rise to AED78.63 ($21.40) per sq ft for Armani Residences, real estate experts told Arabian Business that they were not as high as anticipated.

Agreed - great find. I'd never seen any photos before the raft existed!
Have you got any links to the others?
Thanks again.

So, I guess this is good occasion to ask. Fury, I bet you have nice collection of construction updates. I probable seen most of it but since many links after years are dead it would be nice to have whole collection in one place. Would it be possible for you to post package somewere? Let say updates of first two, three years of the project posted somewhere, would be great

All those construction pics can be found on www.burjdubaiskyscraper.com I think. They followed the construction and the pics here from the beginning.

Hi Pat.
I have over 52,000 pics in my BK construction folder - 20.7 GB.
There is no where I can put them all in one spot ...
I could post some of the few early site shots I have though if anyone is interested - I have 95 from 2004.

As Deq posted Bikes has many shots on his site. There are only 4 from 2004 but after that there are many.

That 95 would be great. From that period I think I may've seen 20 pics at most.

Thanks in advance

I really hope the Burj Al Alam dosen't suffer the same fate that the Lighthouse Tower did. I have a feeling they are going to cover the hole up and cancel it for good if they don't get restarted on it soon.
