They haven't used that bit yet,, I expect is some kind of explosion scene, with base jump..
Extra window taken out since last week, so that confirms it 100% as far as I'm concerned.

The single window underneath is clearly a camera position. This is all rather exciting.

I know what my 300mm f/2.8+2x teleconverter will be pointing at

Bloody annoying that I'm stuck here in Riyadh until Wednesday, and have to return on Friday.

Armani Hotel Dubai room rates down by 40%

By Claire Ferris-Lay | Tuesday, 2 November 2010 10:10 AM

The Armani Hotel Dubai opened its doors with a star-studded ceremony on April 27, 2010

Room prices at Dubai’s Armani Hotel, which occupies the Burj Khalifa, are trading at 40 percent down from the published rates at launch, Arabian Business can reveal.

Seven months after its opening, a standard room at the 160-room Armani hotel will now set back guests AED2,400 ($653) compared to a rate card price of AED4,000 at the end of April.

The cost of a two bedroom suite, originally priced at AED40,000, can now be snapped up for AED24,000, according to the hotel’s reservations desk.

Tourism levels in Dubai were badly hit by the emirate’s downturn, but the industry is showing signs of recovery. Tourists to the emirate increased nine percent during the first half of this year to 4.18 million visitors while hotel revenue increased six percent to $1.87bn, according to Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing.

A spokesperson for the Armani Hotel Dubai said its rack rates remained unchanged.

“However, we offer competitive rates based on seasonality which are in line with the global luxury hospitality trends,” the hotel said in an emailed statement.

The first Armani Hotel, which also includes 144 Armani residences, was opened to great fanfare in April this year by the designer and Emaar’s chairman, Mohamed Alabbar.

“I am a minimalist, less is more... and when I looked at what was happening here it was the opposite,” the Italian designer said at the launch. “But he wanted me and I wanted him,” he said referring to Alabbar.

Armani signed a deal with Emaar Properties, the Arab world’s largest real estate developer, in 2005 to develop a series of hotels, resorts and residences across the world, including New York and Marrakesh. A second hotel, Armani Hotel Milano, is due to open mid-2011.

Last month Mark Dardenne, CEO of Emaar Hotels and Resorts, told Arabian Business that Emaar was planning to build a third Armani Hotel, possibly in Paris. “It’s being designed now,” he said.

Still sounds overpriced. What's the occupancy rate of Armani hotel?

Cruise that at the window? Star Tom films stunt... 124 floors up

By Simon Cable | Last updated at 12:07 AM on 3rd November 2010

It wasn’t exactly the view they had expected from the 124th floor of the world’s tallest building.

As they looked out from the observation deck of the 2,717ft skyscraper, Ben Mathew and his family were suddenly confronted by Tom Cruise – dangling in mid-air outside the window.

The 48-year-old Hollywood star, suspended by several safety wires, was filming a stunt for Mission: Impossible IV.

The scene sees him chasing another actor around the outside of the Burj Khalifa Tower in Dubai.

Action man: Ben Mathew's picture of Mr Cruise as he took part in the stunt for the new movie

Mr Mathew, who lives in Dubai, said: ‘My sister Caitlin is visiting from our home town of Norwich. I told her I was going to show her something really special and took her to the tower with my wife and kids.

‘When we got there we saw this pair of legs outside and assumed it must be a very brave window cleaner. Then Caitlin shouted, “That’s Tom Cruise!” I said, “Don’t be ridiculous”, but sure enough, it was. I grabbed my camera and he smiled and laughed.

‘He was cool as a cucumber. Anyone brave enough to film up the Burj Khalifa Tower deserves a Hollywood pay cheque.’

Awesome shots!

Shows detail of the corporate suites as well.

They are filming in the shell and core offices.

That's explains indeed why -so long- they kept some windows open without glass, its for the film and we thought that they forgot, missed those pannels... interesting captures 234sale, gerald and PG
