Hi all.

Could you summarise the method of getting to the top (elevators, stairs, ladder) with distances involved?

Thanks!

Hi Gerald.

A few choices on the first elevators but here's the easiest as far as I can tell.

1 - Elevator BS1 - Concourse (4.0 m.) to level 138 (508.2 m.)
2 - Elevator BS3 - level 138 to level 160 (621.3 m.)
Alternate - various elevator choices, some to level 153, then stairs/landings to 160
3 - Elevator BS4 - level 160 to section 18B (646.9 m.)
Alternate - steep stairs/landings from 160 to 18B
4 -Ladder - section 18B to section 19 (653.3 m.)
I think the only way from 18B to 19 is a ladder because 18B is the extent of conditioned space so perhaps a hatch ?
5 - Steep stairs/landings - section 19 to section 21 (691.7 m.)
6 - ladders/landings inside the pinnacle pipe - section 21 to top platform (826.6 m.)
Alternate - the pinnacle pipe can be entered at section 20B (base of the pipe)
Alternate - ladders/landings outside the pinnacle pipe to section 24 then enter the pinnacle pipe

Some of the ladder runs are long between landings inside the pinnacle pipe (in some pics it looks to be 50 meters or more). Outside of it the landings for both the stair and ladder parts are either 3.2 or 6.4 m. depending on where you are.
The journey would be a workout for sure but the view from the top would be worth it. Not sure about climbing up on the top of the beacons though ...

I save all vids of the BK (like pics) - imagine that ...
So ..... PM ..... ?

Ray.

Can someone suggest some nice wallpapers with the Burj Khalifa in it? The Dubai skyline preferably. Been through a couple of pages in this thread, but had yet to find any nice high-res pics.

To think that this tower is twice the height of the old twin towers...
I really have to visit this city and see the tower with my own eyes!

Hi Christos.

There are 57 elevators and 8 escalators in total.
