Must be a publicity stunt. Any estimate on how low these planes are flying when they pass over the building?

They are pretty high up. The extreme zoom makes it look much closer.

Living in the world’s tallest tower – although only for a night – is now easily possible. And the deal even comes with groceries, if needed.

A Dubai-based online company - mydubaistay.com - is advertising a one-night stay in a one-bedroom apartment in the Burj Khalifa, starting from Dh1, 300.

According to the website, this apartment is located on the 19th floor and is fully furnished.

When called, a company reservation executive told Emirates 24|7: “We have a one-bedroom apartment, which can be booked online. Your rent for a day will be Dh1,303, plus an extra of Dh175 for groceries. Check in time is 3 pm and check out is 11 am.”

The website adds: “There is no official international rating system for these private apartments, however, we ensure that the quality of the furniture and equipment that goes into our properties is similar to what you would expect from a five star hotel. The pictures and virtual tours displayed for each property are exactly as you will find when you arrive.”

Hi all.

I'm surprised anyone is allowed to rent their residence out to people - sublet if you will. It seems it wouldn't sit well with neighbors as well as seems to somehow 'cheapen' the residence areas.

The unit is on the lowest level (19) of the hotel residence area, the lowest of the 3 residence areas. Therefore it doesn't tell us much about how far the fitout has progressed, unfortunately.

It's some sort of news, anyway. Thanx for posting PG and great shots in the last few pages guys.

I think that is little impossible to happen because of the limited access on those floors above Observation deck...

I don't know if the "renters" would make it pass the security ... it seams as a 'love nest' to me though.
