nah i dont think so, it seems more unlikely to happen in near future than kingdom tower in jeddah which is already unlikely. Slowly i begin to think that this or next year a new proposal might come out of nowhere which will even start earlier than the projects. maybe in a chinese city

Ban him,,, Also the Khalifa isn't finished..

Now some wise man said, property crashes when the tallest building completes..

Now the Shard is due to finish 2012,, London look out..

This will be the tallest for at least a decade..

Yes. I haven't seen a single photo of active construction in almost 6 months.

This photo looks like the metal has rust coming through already. I hope I'm looking at it wrong.

Exactly. People can continue the conversation, but it shouldn't be in a construction thread area.

Hi Uaark.

We appreciate you posting but no offence, why would you care if this thread gets archived ?

In October there were only 45 % of the residential units handed over, surely not because they were all complete.

Not seeing construction pics doesn't mean the project is completed. Both annexes are not open yet, surely not because they are completed ...

This project is not the same as one in North America. With all the secrecy and smoke and mirror press releases including the inauguration being widely toted as the opening one has to do alot of reading between the lines.

Completion of the whole of the works could be this quarter or next I figure. Thing is we may never know exactly when that happens but we should hear when all the units are handed over and from that guess a date of completion.

So why archive when we don't know ?
Also as this is the WTS it merits staying here for now.

On another topic in regards to your post to me in the WTC thread.
I changed my mind ... I will help out wherever I can.
I will respond to any post on the BK if I have an answer or I can correct people - no matter what thread it is in.

And why these people even care if the thread is archieved or stays here, considering that asking about it to be done, means you don't care about the building in the first place.

Well, they have nothing to construct in the exterior part of Burj Khalifa because now its completed, but in the interior?
In the interior of the building right now probably they still working on the last details at the high levels of Burj Khalifa (painting, lights etc), which means that some units (in high levels) are un-completed yet.

Very generalized statement. I care about the building, but I also care about the content of the Supertall area. It's for threads of construction. The construction of this tower is finished and I feel it's time in the construction thread has passed.
