And I was with you and Gerald when we first heard about the name-change, during the inaguration ceremony, back in Jan 4th 2010.

So I guess they changed the name just because it sounds better Just wonder why they haven't chose "Burj Mohhamed" to name it. I bet It sounds better for Dubai ruler

Hi Dove.
Good to hear your buddy may have recorded it. I do expect to see it up on youtube from someone in the coming weeks - at least I hope so.

Hi Gerald.
Thanks for posting !
This is one of the 4 from the hotel group that serves these levels - HP1 to HP4. So they're not one of the 3 I was thinking, that serve only 3 levels.

So all the lifts have the name right on the panel - good stuff. This can be used to confirm the lifts on my elevator schedule.
OB1 and OB2 are the double decker units and you were in the lower cab - Concourse to 123.
I assume you can take OB1 or OB2 to go to 123 whether you are going to At.mosphere or the office skylobby ?

If you are going to at.mosphere, that's the only elevator available as far as I'm aware.

OK then, thanks
I assume that the most elevators that goes to "at the top", atmosphere restaurant in 123th floor, armani hotel apartmens and suites, to the apartments and etc are in ground level, right?
Concourse level is the ground level (the button "C" in your photos)?

Hi Gerald.
Thanks for the info.
Do they have OB1 blocked off being it is right beside OB2 or is OB2 the only one that answers the call right now ?
Once the office levels are occupied I would say both lifts can be used to go to level 123, whether to the office skylobby or the At.mosphere restaurants.
How would the 2 lifts tell the difference in where people want to go ?

Hi Chris.
No and no.
Rather than type it all out, see the last 2 pages of my plan.

See how the hotel, residence, and office lobbies are all on different levels.
Also see how the concourse and ground are seperate levels.

On another note - the BK is going to kick ass in the supertalls world cup - knew it from the start.

Hi all.

I had another thought on this.
Perhaps the buttons on the wall used to call the lifts will be labeled diifferently for the 2 lifts going to 123 from the concourse.
One labeled At.mosphere Restaurant, the other labeled Office Skylobby.

On the other hand, when the offices are full, both lifts will probably be needed at peak times (for the office workers) - considering the upper cabs that serve the OD will take some time away from the normal operation of the lower cabs, vs. having single decker lifts.

Why is this tower still in the u/c section? In our Top 100 is Taiphei 101 still the tallest skyscraper in the world. What do the people expect in keeping this thread here?

Because I, the forumer with most posts on this thread (1300+), don't bother to start looking elsewhere in the forum for this thread. Is that enough (good) reason for you doc?

BTW, where are the hundreds (if not thousands) of pictures from your April visit? I've only seen a few so far.

Spill them out boy!

Sorry. I haven`t posted the rest of my Bangkok pics, the pics from Prague, Pula, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Barcelona, Dresden, Worcjaw, Dubai, Istanbul and Vienna. Living on my own sucks. No time to upload pictures >_<
It really sucks for me that i can`t share my pics.
