Hi all.

And to Fury's reply, it being the "best design ever" is of course your point of view. I agree that in my opinion it is one of the best designs ever, however this point of view is not limited to everybody and we should respect those opinions. It is narrow minded to retort to someones distaste of a tower as wrong because it doesn't fit your view.
Hi Matt.

I posted a page or 2 ago that the CB and ESB are great icons and if any to beat out the BK I would be OK with them. I have a few books on both - I liked them long before the BK came along.

I posted the BK is one of the best designs ever. I have no problem with other peoples opinions Matt. My 'narrow minded' reply was in regard to his statement "the only aspect of it that stands out at all is its height".

Peace.

Ray.

Likewise, was in Bulgaria for a month, now planning another trip next month.

Yeah, those were the ones. And yeah it was posted by a forumer. It was taken by another professional photographer.

I guess I will just have to start from somewhere in 2009 and make my way up the pages.

Hi all.

Hi Guest.

I did some browsing through the 22,050 BK pics I have from 2010.
Without some finer parameters it can be a fairly long process ...

This the one ?

I could be wrong here, but that pic looks very familiar Imre. I vaguely remember posting that pic, or one almost identical to it a long time ago. If memory serves me right I believe I found it at Gulf News. The size is about right as well.

Happy to help.
So many pics ... it's sometimes hard to find the really good trees among the forest.

Hi Kyn.

Hi all.

The sandstorms gotta suck - no ?
It gets windy here often so things get dusty but nothing like that.
There must be a cm. thick layer of sand on everything by the time the storm is over ?
I guess most keep the windows closed (with the A/C wide open) so not so bad inside. Here, I keep all my windows wide open in the summer when I'm home - I don't have A/C so when it's over 30 c it is hot inside.

- you guys in Dubai must laugh at this. 30 c is a cool summer night ...
Frick - I'd melt if I lived there ...

Emirates offers free hotel stays to passengers

Quote:
July 10, 2011

Emirates Airline has teamed up with hotels in Dubai to offer first class and business class passengers, flying to and via Dubai, complimentary hotel stays and 96-hour transfer visas.

First class passengers will receive a complimentary two-night stay, including breakfast, at either The Armani Hotel, located in the Burj Khalifa, or the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, located on the Palm Jumeirah Island, the carrier said in a statement.
