Sometimes they do,, sometimes they dont..

Catching when it's going to happen,, thats the difficult part..

Height of threats: Pay $1m or I will blow up Burj Khalifa

Businessman in jail over threat; Also accused of setting up another person in bizarre plot

By Eman Al BaikPublished Sunday, October 23, 2011

An Indian used another person’s mobile and sent a message to a police officer threatening to blow up Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Criminal Court.

According to prosecutors, the motive was to set up the other person as the one making the threats and get him sent to jail.

JFA, 38, is accused of sending a written threat via mobile, in poor English, asking for $1 million or Burj Khalifa would be blasted the next day.

The text message read: "Tomoro Burj Kaleefa blast arange no arrange 1oooooo dollar take."

Major Ahmad Juma Mohammed, 34, who received the text message on his mobile phone said that the message was not clear but “I could understand that Burj Khalifa will be exploded if $1m was not paid. Letter ‘o’ was used instead of zero.

“I immediately notified the Operations Room and was asked to forward the message, so I did,” he testified.

Investigating the case, a 35-year old Pakistani barman in Panorama Hotel, testified that four months ago a person named Chaudry stopped coming to the night club. He asked JFA about him.

Maybe 211 if we count everything ? 160+3 Mezz+ 2 Basement+ 46 spire=211

No floors inside the spire , they call like service/maintenance levels , total 46 there but not sure:

Better to ask Fury, he knows everything better

@maxer: Level 160 and above is mechanical according to the plan from the original site of Burj Khalifa and if i remember well 45 levels(?) from that point to spire (imre's photos).

Hi all.

Guys, there are 163 levels plus 2 lower levels.
- 160 plus 7 ( concourse, ground, 155 mezz, 158 mezz, 160 mezz 1, 160 mezz 2, and 160 mezz 3), less 4 skipped (41, 74, 110, and 137) = 163. The 2 lower are B1 and B2. (there is a third lower level below B2 that I call the raft level that neither the plans, the council, nor I count)

There is no level count above the highest named level (160 mezz. 3) at 634.1 meters. Some have the need to equate the height above that to a continued level count but that is completely unofficial and unrelated to the plans.

The CTBUH calls the count 163 and 1 lower. The reason is, they start the official measure at level B1 and therefore they count it as an above ground level (another reason may be that the floor of B1 is only 1 meter below the average pre-construction grade) and they don't count one of the mezzanines (not sure which one).

For anyone interested, see my historical BK thread here

Ray.
