I'm surprised this building has not finished yet, but what a giant.

I thought the guy threw something onto the ground that in turn created an air mattresses? Meh. Either way, IMDB is hardly gospel.

I took some photos in the IMAX theater while the movie was showing. Was pretty far back and my camera phone still couldn't capture everything. Crazy big screen.

Yes, he threw something onto the ground and turned around to shoot back up all while he was falling. That's what made the action scene so great. Can't believe people actually missed it.

Hi all.

Well ...
I haven't seen the movie yet but it sounds like I will have to tell all the people I've told to watch for the BK about the errors. Level 130 hotel ?? etc ...

Hi Imre. Needless to say I have all those vids.
I was quite taken aback when I first saw the last one though.
I do a lot of caulking and the job being done to fill in the crack between the light housing and the hole in the pinnacle is crude at best. It does the job and there is no real reason to make it look better than that, I guess. I've never been hanging from climbing gear but I would have done a better looking job than that.

Mind you, I'm OC at the best of times and when it comes to the BK ...

Hi all.

I have decided to call the whole of the works of the Burj Khalifa project complete as of 11 07 01.
- By complete, I refer to the developers obligation only. Most of the office space is done core and shell only by the developer. The final fitout will be done by the tenants to suit their tastes and that could take years.
- I am calling the residential handovers complete as of 11 06. On 10 10 there were 45 % handed over or 475 units. That had grown to 770 as of 11 02. Therefore 1055 as of 11 06 sounds reasonable.
- I am calling the boutique offices (the office zone) complete as of 11 06. This is core and shell for all of the levels except the corporate suite on levels 152 to 154. That suite was completed before 11 03 30 when a photo spread was done.
- I am calling both annexes complete as of 11 06. The office annex is now called 'The Offices' and the pool (or health) annex is now called 'The Club'. Both have been externally complete for well over a year.
- I chose the date of completion of 11 07 01 partially based on the lack of lighting at night used for workers. Since inauguration I have many pics of entire zones lit up at night. This moved from zone to zone as the months progressed and has ceased to be happening on approximately that date.

Bear in mind all of the dates above are completely arbitrary. I have been waiting for some sort of confirmation for months, all the while thinking the project was complete. News may never come so I decided it was time to call it.

Here is the status of the project IMHO
- The Club (pool annex) - completed - not open for business yet (word is, it will be open to the public as well as tenants)
- The Offices (office annex) - completed - not occupied
- Hotel zone - completed and open for business
- Armani residences (Residential zone 1) - completed - fully handed over - partially occupied
- Hotel residences (Residential zone 2) - completed - fully handed over - partially occupied
- Residences (Residential zone 3) - completed - fully handed over - partially occupied
- Luxury residences (Residential zone 4) - completed - fully handed over - partially occupied
- Observation deck - completed and open for business
- Office zone - completed - not occupied

Anachronisms
The server in the Burj Khalifa is a Dell Poweredge 2650. Dell discontinued this product in 2004, so it wouldn't be found in a tower which was constructed between 2004 to 2010.

When Tom Cruise is being ordered to the Kremlin via phone, a billboard near the call booth has a poster announcing a "The Organ" concert. That band broke up in 2006, but the the story of "Ghost Protocol" takes place after the opening of the Burj Khalifa, which was in 2010.

Continuity
When Hunt and his team are in the Hotel at Burj Khalifa, they see the sandstorm approaching from the front of the building yet when Hunt and Wistrom exit out front, the storm hits the building from the back.

Wistrom & Hunt's car crash happens on an elevated bend of an overpass yet they are shown on a ground-level open freeway seconds later.

During the scaling scene, Ethan Hunt takes the right glove off because it stops working and lets it go, leaving his hand bare. However, in the next few scenes, the glove is back on.

Errors in geography
Tom Cruise and Crew are in Mumbai (the languages in Mumbai are Hindi & Marathi), but in the action scenes, the displayed language is in Kannada (which is a language in Karnataka, another state).

Factual errors
The number plates used on the cars in the movie in Mumbai and Dubai have the numbers first and the letter last. Actually, the number plates in Mumbai and Dubai have the letter first.

Ethan Hunt and his team checks in into 130th floor of Burj Khalifa Hotel. However, Armani Hotel in Burj Khalifa occupies below 40th floor. 130th, 118th and 119th (occupied by Sabine Moreau Lea Saydoux and Wisdrom) are Commercial floors.

Number plates in Mumbai start with MH - indicating the state of Maharashtra, where Mumbai is located. The plates shown in the movie do not start with a number.

In the climax sequence, at the multilevel car park in India, all the cars are left-hand drive but in India cars are right-hand drive, like in Britain.

Ballistic missiles do not fire their rockets after they reach their highest point, hence "Ballistic", they also are targeted much higher than the (apparent) ground-level burst in apparently intended in the film.

Revealing mistakes
The Nuclear Launch Device used by Hendricks has a Russian keyboard, however the User Interface Screen is in English.

The real hotel inside the Burj Khalifa is the Armani Hotel, whose entrance is much, much smaller and not as impressive as in the movie, which is actually the commercial area concourse.

When at the party, Ethan is having a phone conversation with Jane. In one of the shots, Ethan is talking into his cell phone; however, no cell phone is visible in his hand.

Plot holes

In the opening sequence, an IMF agent lands on an air mattress. Later in the movie it is revealed that the plan went awry and the agent was forced to flee and jumped off the roof in desperation. Thus the air mattress would not have been set up.

Thats very true...how do you know that about Indian language difference....?.....We are so much fall in love of Dubai that we cant bear their indiferences in Movies also.....Love Dubai....

Haven't bothered to dig out the telephoto, but I highly doubt it.

Last year they started installing the fireworks on the 28th.
