Ok, I remember that, now how does all you just mentioned makes Shanghai Tower's podium also to be cladded in copper?

... and yeah, despite what NYC might or might not use, copper is a dreadfull element to use in modern skyscrapers, and Shanghai Tower will NOT use it on it's podium.

No one is saying that it will be, whether it is or isn't clad in copper is irrelevant. You don't like copper, but that is only your opinion, you are entitled to that, though the designers of the wfc in new york obviously disagree. What you are not entitled to do in my opinion is to haughtily dismiss anyone you don't agree with on the basis that you live in an area where skyscrapers are built and they do not. That is what got on my tit last year, and that is what this post is "on about" as you asked.

It makes perfect sense to have as many as possible. One thing they are not short of there is sunshine.

Yes, but the dust/sand and humidity reduce drastically the efficiency.

Luckily enough, there's plenty of cheap labour to get up there and give them all a wipe.

Hi all.

Here is a crop showing the roof of 'The Offices'.

I think it's a great use of the space. It probably only supplies enough power for a few offices but every little bit helps.

Perhaps Emaar is looking at a 300 year payout for the 6 level addition to the annex, with the solar panels.

Ray.

Those panels, the supply power is only for Anex building, or and for Burj Khalifa?

Hi Chris.

Not sure but I would guess they are tied into the power grid of the annex only and would supply a small fraction of its needs.
