Hi all.

Hi London.

No I don't think it is misleading at all.

In fact I'm surprised to hear the office zone is only 2/3 empty. I've heard no news of any companies at work in the BK yet. I'm thinking what they mean is 1/3 of the space is sold, not occupied. I also question if these numbers are for the office zone only and don't include 'The Offices' (the office annex).

It is good to hear a second source stating the 4 residential zones are 80 % occupied although it could very well be a re-statement from the first source.

I continue to choose to believe the structure will be fully occupied and profitable at some point in time.

Ray.

Burj Khalifa, Dubai: Empty offices in world's tallest building

The Burj Khalifa - the world's tallest building - is the most famous address in the Gulf. Today, about 80% of the luxury flats have tenants but two-thirds of the office space still lies empty - and one owner has even tried selling an entire floor of the tower on an auction site.

So why has the building failed as a home to businesses? And with dozens of office towers still being built, is Dubai set for a glut of commercial oversupply for years to come?

No surprise the office space is hurting. Too much built in a very short time.

Surprised this wasn't posted yet but during the Olympic opening ceremonies and parade, there was a diving commercial featuring Burj Khalifa. Thankfully it's already been uploaded to Youtube .

Love the night shots! On another semi-related note, it's nice to see that Rose Rotana (Rose Rayhaan) appears open for business. Thought it'd be pretty sweet to stay there, myself.
