I miss the days when it only took 3 days per floor and you could see the Burj get noticeably taller every couple of weeks.

Burj Dubai must be over 600m, cause status from 27.12.2007 is 598.5 m with 1 steel floor.

Actually its L157, which is now under construction. Top of the steel is floor of L158, which is 598.5

Do I see it right and is more than 80 % of the space taken by the elevator core? Wow!

like you already mentiioned the core.i can't find any photo of core so can somebody paste it here i would like to see really how many space taken elevators

Just take a look how close are the tiers around them and how the whole photo looks. IMO it's like 2 years old when it was something like 60-70 floors...

it was taken before it really started to rise. if u look closely you dont see the 3 towers cranes in the sections they are now
