I wonder if they could put something further on top of that spire? The top of the spire looks like a base for additional something...

Already went to those restaurants. I think it's a bad location now to open. First they would have a lot of customers but now the Dubai Metro Link is right above them, so only few people walk by. You would really have to plan the visit to these restaurants to go there. People that will just sit on the terrace and drink something won't visit much anymore.

That was my concern, visited a week before the metro bridge to the mall opened. Droves of people walk from the mall to the metro on Emaar Boulevard, now with the link, it not only will take away pedestrian life but it also somewhat hides shops in Boulevard Plaza. Of course the link is needed for the summer months though...lets see what happens

Here's a great video that showcases some of the more traditional areas of Dubai, not normally seen on SSC in a really unique way

Is this been here yet? The best Dubai video I've ever seen. I recommend to watch it on Youtube site and set the quality to "Original".

Was commenting that maybe with $50+ Billion and a solid 20 years or more, I could see it being done. As to if it has a hope of moving forward with all that including seeing Anara Tower again, who knows? I mean, they have money in Dubai / the Middle East overall but this looks even more expensive than Kingdom City / Kingdom Tower.

Alas, there are not many highrise buildings around Burj Khalifa to complement the height, it sticks out like a slender pole. But Burj Khalifa is undoubtedly one of the biggest architectural achievement of mankind.

That used to bother me, but now I think it's sheer dominance is really nice. It looks like a shining jewel at night towering over the landscape.
