That's all 'new' development. The old town downtown area, packed with older smaller buildings, is by the river outlet at the top.

Hi all.

Here is the schedule from near a year ago. I put some text in to show what the horizontal lines represent.

As we can see they were to be at level 160 in the second week of Dec '07 and starting tier 19 in the second week of Mar '08. They are seriously behind this schedule.

We will see if they make the third week of sept '08 top out date - or the second week of Aug '09 completion date.

This thing is so kewl - I love watching it grow - doesn't matter to me if they are behind schedule.

This is an amazing building but looking at this pic wonder in upper floors what floorplate ratio is to core size?.....what would they use these areas for.....boutique offices?

Hey Cul.

The boutique offices are from 112 to 154 less a few levels here and there for MEP and the observatory. Unless of course they changed the plan.

it was told that they started with the 4th stell floor, this one is 6,4m high. so it should be now 611,3m tall or 2004,26 feets tall!

I would say yes we have the first skyscraper which broke the 2000 feet mark!

but it has still to go a minimum of 207,93m!

sorry fury, i was just mentioning the floors in that photo. yes the boutique offices go all the way down to 112 as you said. i reckon they would be cool, to have you own office take up whole floor.

Boutique Offices? Some look big enough to fit a desk...and a chair ? I realize a building tapering to such a high pinnacle requires less than optimum upper floors...overall a stunning amazing structure....
