that's a good example that only the skyline of dubai is modern.. very sad and important to mention, but let's get back to topic so that the mods dont delete it..

seems like they catch up with the cladding, with BD getting smaller less and less windows are needed for each floor

anybody who knows if they keep working with two cranes because they're behind schedule or will one of them go down soon?

But that's because you're in Abu Dhabi. Being in Dubai, I don't have to scroll ... just point at and see it all at once.

I remember people were complaining about the reflectivity of the glass but it looks like the type of glass they chose was perfect.

As for the spire steel section where will it stop becoming "reflective" cladding to a basic gray/white appearance?

as far as i know only the spire itself will have no reflective cladding, the steel-section ( also including the spirebase ) will have normal cladding

Pretty sure. That's why it was such big news in that country and that's why Dubai for them is a place not to visit right now.

Thanks. I think a reflective spire tip would look out of place. This is going to look spectacular when done.

the spire or PINNACLE, as its effectionatley described on plans is stainless steel.
so its not as reflective as glass cladding but will shine when sun hits it.

I'm sure this has already been asked before but it'd be interesting to know: How often do you get those foggy days in Dubai to where the towers just shoot through everything? Some of the best shots we've had have been when BD has majestically risen out of the fog and obviously it'd be amazing to have a chance to see a view like that in person. Due to all the changing of air temperatures and the coastline, it seems to be somewhat common (at least several times a month if not more).
