I don't know if this is affecting anyone else, but how come whenever I look at this thread nowadays I can never see any of the photos? I can always see the date and title typed in by someone and then a whole bunch of comments about how great the photos are....but no photos! Very strange...

Maybe you are checking the forum from office and your system administrator has blocked access to flickr, tinypic or imageshack. Or you might have chosen the "don't show pictures" on your account settings.

That's exactly what happens to me, at home it works fine. Do you know how to change this setting? Thanks

If your school/workplace have blocked them, you simply can't.

Click on the first and third shots then view original as they are large.

Fury your updates are always spectacular. Everyone's asking "where's Imre" but hey, look at Fury's updates. They're a great sight to see.

In this picture are we looking towards the "SZR cluster" of skyscrapers or is that in another area? I only recognize one building that isn't under construction in the distance. I'm trying to get a perspective on which direction we're looking at.

I think the direction of the photograph is NW and the buildings on the right are near SZR, but they are part of the Burj Dubai Downtown, not the main SZR cluster around Rose Rotana...

By no means take this as a literal or expert translation but he/she said something like this. It is a little choppy to begin with as it has spelling errors and he/she spelled dubai wrong:

"The truth is that this building is totally beyond any expectation, the manner in which dubai is so greatly changing it's infrastructure is super impressive from the point of view that in the medium term they will have to sustain their economy without petroleum, and congradulations soon we (they??) will be there".

It is rude to speak in different language while not everyone understand it. This is English speaking forum, please speak in English. Thanks.

I'm curious will lower part of Burj Dubai open to the public before it completed? I read that some skyscrapers allows that. I wonder if Burj Dubai will do that too.
