I took some photos from the base of the tower and was amazed to realize that the Burj Dubai is almost equal in height now to the massive radio tower I had been standing under. The tower looked astounding in its own right though, being 3-ish meters wide and around 600 meters tall. I would post photos, but all radio towers seem to look alike anyway; astounding in person though. For anyone who lives in central California though: Walnut Grove is just north of Stockton, the radio towers are to the west of the I-5 about 5 miles from the freeway...take one of the exits and drive out to the base and check it out, it's definitely worthwhile.

i spend my 07 december vacations in united states i get san diego by plane and stays a week in ocenside then a rent a car and drive i-5 to sacramento i pass stockton city and see walnut grove signs, next march vacations i gonna get sacramento again and stop's there to check that tower, txs for the advice.

i'm from puerto vallarta mexico and the buildings here are not higher than 300 feet.

I think, only 2 more beams: 617,7m + 6,40m + 6,40m = 630,50m ;-)

Another 2 floors on top again will make it the tallest ever built by man...

Where did you saw beams for the 5th floor? No one has posted any pic of them so far.

No, the beams in that picture are for the 4th steel floor. The floors you counted as 3 and for are 158 and 158 mezzanine, which counts as only one floor. AltinD mentioned that they began installation of beams for the 5th steel floor, but no one has posted any pictures of this yet.
