Green canvas thats never been there at previous levels and is adjacent to the spire guides supports seen in previous pics. Will we now see this all the way up or is it only to provide protection from the wind when welding?

Hi all.

Nice shots OTR. Yes - the green canvas is interesting - prob. is for wind protection while welding but we will see if it gets moved.

Spandex - these are from the same viewpoint as Jans' shots.

Perhaps constucting the spire inside the lift shafts, concealing it to the very end, similar in the way the Empire State was constructed?

Good jobs!

For the guys above having a problem with the simple arithmetic, by any chance is this some of your schoolwork in the images?

ZZ was only giving an approximation.

I was thinking that there would be a surprise as well for the floor count.. but it looks like it will not change, except that they can throw a curveball at everybody by using the small floors at the top above 162, for equipment, etc.. it would still count as uninhabited, but at least they will be used for something..

I saw a plan a while back that showed the layout for an office on floor 171 I believe..

It looks small up there, but its not that small!!! Watch the video with the tennis star traveling up to the top of the structure, and you realize that the steel structure has a good deal of space within! I was afraid after looking at shots of it (from the bottom of the tower) that only parts of the steel floors could be used because of the V bracing that you see on the outside, also running on the inside as well..

Watch the video again and again, and you realize how high the ceilings will be on these steel floors, as well as seeing how bug they really are! After seeing that, I believe that they could still be close to around 2000sq ft!

Whoa!! the cladding looks great in the evening too!! I can only imagine when this is completely done, with all the lights in the tower shining through the glass.. what a monolithic landmark building this is turning into..
