Is the mech cladding the same as the cladding on the bottom of the tower? Looks that way to me.

For whatever reason, BAA, along with some other buildings, have never shown up in models of business bay. Probably has something to do with agreements between the developers of the building and whoever is having the models built.

Do you guys suppose that the strip they haven't done yet on the mech floors will contain vents of some kind?

I do wonder what it's like to see Dubai's skyscrapers in person. One of the pictures shows the SZR cluster with Rose Rosana hotel in there and Burj Dubai in the background and the Rose Rosana hotel being a supertall looked like a 500ft building in the picture.

futy posted some explanations and you will see how tall it is. Its 624m atm . so 5 more metres to equal dakota most. the next steel section will be 6m, so it will then be 630m tall, which is taller then dakota mast.
Thanks Cul,must have missed that one.

I do believe these panels will have to have vents of some sort.

Also, like someone said above I think the mech. cladding looks pretty close to what is at the base (podium). It will be interesting to see when they finally clad the 8 story building at the base, because

Im wondering what will go on that building. Its either going to be the regular cladding, or the podium cladding. Hey, I know! Maybe we should ask V!

Is this model supposed to be proportional (especially at the top)?

If that's what the top of Burj is supposed to look like, than I would have serious doubts about the 819m pinnacle. Burj tapers off very well and gradually until you get to the top when it becomes rather sudden.

i have a suspiscion that it isnt the 819m vers. there have been many models made to 705m and 750m vers. so dont worry too much about model.

Hi all.

Nice banner today.

Flickr - kevinaroom - 08 03 19 - large pic.
We can see the 6 steel levels very well. A few short days and we will see the next levels' first column - and you know what that means ...
