I never noticed before that when you view original size after you click on the thumb that it isn't the original size - the bastards ...

Here is the link to the full size shot.

Fury, when you click on the thumbnail and it takes you to the allyoucanupload site right below the picture there is a link for "view original size" of course once you open that if your browser is set to shrink to window size you have to click on the picture to full size it, but then it is the original size, and unlike the flickr link, it's not sideways

Thanks Holly - I,m a computer tech - I was aware that XP resizes the pic ...

What I was saying is when you view original size it is 1600 X 2400. The original size on Flickr is 2336 X 3504. Yes you have to save the shot from flickr then rotate it in whatever pic program you use. I use Faststone - it is a free program ( google it ) that is much better than windows picture and fax viewer that is the XP default viewer. I had never noticed that the view original size was not the original size on very large pics.

Back on topic - there has to be some vents in the MEP levels cladding. As Holly said a few posts ago it is probably in the section between what they have started to put up. We can see the 3 openings that are already louvered on each rounded section in the first set of MEP levels. I assume these are intakes or exhausts for A/C ?

When do you guys/gals think the first column of the next level will go up making this thing the tallest manmade structure on the planet ?

I,m gonna guess Saturday the 22nd.

Great time to be skyscraper fans wouldn't you say ?

WTB

Looking at the steel prep already in place on the 6th floor steelwork, I am sure we will have the next level started this weekend and a new record achieved.

Will keep camera pointed.

It looks even taller in videos than in pics. In real life it probably looks absolutely insane.

I wonder how it will be to live inside the Burj Dubai, and be on a level that gets inside the clouds. It must be breath-taking.

3D Models

For those who dont' know or haven't seen, Google Earth, now render some skyscrapers in 3D. Here is one I found of the Burj Dubai with Sheik Zayed Rd Skyscrapers in the background:
