Although the top portion of this building seems relatively skinny, it still looks extremely strong and sturdy. Plus that steel work looks very intricate.

Hi all.

Nice ones Helghast.

Looks like they have enough height on the cranes for another level. If they don't have to lift them we could still be on track for the start of the next historic level very soon. Lifting them doesn't take long anyway.

Is it me or do the steel floors seem higher than the concrete? Surely a concrete floor and ceiling slab doesn't make those floors seem that much shorter do they?

the typical concrete floor was 4m. some even 3.2m.
ive averaged each floor in Burj dubai and it equates to 3.65m or 12ft.
The steel floors are communications/plant and are 6.4m while mezzanines are 3.2m.
From now on, the upper 20 steel section/floors are 6.4m each but have landings/levels half way which mean 3.2m each level, this equates to 40 levels of 3.2m.
helghast-UPDATE YOUR SIG! if you dont its next to useless

Thanks Cul - much more thorough explanation.

Helghast - the next ( record-breaking ) level is 160 mezz 3. We are currently at mezz 2.

Edit - My guess Gatt was tomorrow.

Helghast ...

The floor or starting elevation for level 160 mezz 2 is 620.9. Notice my plan says level floor elevation. The next column in my plan is the height of the level. So right now the top of 160 mezz 2 is 624.1 which is the same as the floor of the next level.

When they put up the first column on level 160 mezz 3 the bottom of it will be 624.1 ( the floor elevation of the level. ). The top of it will be 630.5 m.

I hope this clears things up.
