so nearly as wide as a f00ty field and as tall as 8.
Thanks a lot!

So, the height-width ratio of this building is going to be lower than the one that Chicago Spire will have, isn't it?

chicago spire is approx 60m at base but quickly tapers to 45m for most of height and slowly down to 30m and then 10m at top. (height width ratio of about 13;1.
But burj Dubai has the ultimate taper for a skyscraper. starting off at over 300ft/93m wide and ending up only 4ft/1.2m pinnacle.

Even the smaller steel floors are a LOT bigger than they look!

Watch the video where the tennis star visits the Burj and rides the elevator to the top. Its the only video or pic I have seen of the steel beams at the top. You can see sections where they turn to V's in the video and they look really big, and there looks like there is definitely some room up there. If they really wanted to, they could technically dust off those plans that showed offices reaching the 170's. There was a blueprint for an office on here a while back for floor 171 FYI.

yes, then 19m below is tier21, then another 19m lower is tier20. you notice 2/3 between t21 and t20 is tier20B which is where the base of pinnacle starts.
thanks for reposting fury. lots of acquired info there.

great seeing 818m mark for pinnacle and then another 1m or so for guardrail. with the hatch to the roof of the world..lol

Hi Indica.

The top concrete levels ( tier 15 ) are over 4500 sq. ft.
Tier 18 that they are working on right now are over 2600 sq. ft.

Here is 2 prints that I put a rough circle for comparison. I chose 15 and 18 because they are symetrical with 3 even wings. ( Reposts )

Hi friends ,
Congrates to all ....our dream project is near to its destination and all records are coverd and one to go.....i m appreciate all movement catchers, all moderators CUL,FURY,
IMRE .....many more , commenters....etc that make this project live.....
So the BOSS of all construction is on the verge of complting ...

how much height and floor remaining for pinnacle to implement ....how they will put the pinnacle on the steel structure...i have seen pinnacle implementation of Toranto tower by a helicopter on Discovery Channel... driven by a very famous person and helicopter who have vast experience of lifting the heavy weight to the height of 500+ meter....
is it doing by the same way.........

firozbharmal- the 140m long pinnacle will be hoisted up in sections by crane.simply put together and telescoped upwards to final position.
the whole 200m spire will have to be constructed before pinnacle is pushed up into final position.

IDEA FOR NEW YEARS CELEBRATION

How about when they do the countdown for new year, they are simultainiously jacking up the spire to its final height

I guess they couldnt do all of it in one minute. so it would have to be jacked up over the course of the last few hours and the final jacking up to be timmed perfectly to co-incide with the new year

And ofcourse a ton of fireworks ect....

Just an idea, it would be pretty cool =)
