So, when will we get official statement on record breaking? The official site doesn't say anything.

Hi i'm researching a thesis at present on 'the design and construction of deep basements'.

Just wondering can anyone tell me what the deepest basement in the world is?

Thanks in advance for the help

Many of the Deep Basements of the world are Top Secret and don't show up on Maps.

The last and highest crane planned look really risky, its distance from the tower makes it look even more freaky. BTW someone tell me how many occupiable steel floors there are...

theese rules totally sucks, i mean for me this structure is from now the tallest, best piece of architecture ever, man its more than 100m taller than any skyscraper ever....its more than 75m taller than every freestanding structure ever.... it has by far the highest usable floor and we dont know if they dont plan higher really small usable spaces in there....its the first skyscraper since the sears tower which dont cheat with a added spire or how i like to call it "flagpole" to reach WTB heights...it is virtually usable from ground to its current top...so imo we dont have to wait that a council in chicago tells us NOW its the tallest.....

The Burj Dubai, currently under construction, is already the tallest freestanding structure on land. As of 5 February 2008, the tower's developers reported its height to be 604.9 m (1,985 ft) with 159 completed floors,[2] surpassing Taipei 101 as the tallest skyscraper.[3] On its completion, projected for 2009, it will break the height record in all four categories for completed buildings by a wide margin.

There will be a 100m+ spire/pinnacle on top. Highest usable floor is much lower than overall height.

how much height and floor remaining for pinnacle to implement ....how they will put the pinnacle on the steel structure...i have seen pinnacle implementation of Toranto tower by a helicopter on Discovery Channel... driven by a very famous person and helicopter who have vast experience of lifting the heavy weight to the height of 500+ meter....
is it doing by the same way.........
