I know.

Pardon me, but it's not my fault that I just found this out the other day. I, also, thought for a while, that the one for BD was higher.

Doesn't matter - at least not to me. Indoors or out, an OD is an OD, in my book.

In a nutshell, the BD will be the tallest building to date, but it WON'T have the highest obs deck.

I've always thought that it was - unless you can prove me wrong.

Don't mean to get off topic, but,...... Some buildings that have or have had indoor / outdoor obs decks;

1. Empire State Building (2, one out, one in).

2. 2 WTC before 09-11 (2, one out, one in. 1 WTC had WOTW, a skyroom restaurant on the 107th floor).

3. General Electric Building - RC (1 outdoor).

4. Custom House Tower, Boston - now a Marroitt Hotel (1 indoor).

5. Prudential Center - Boston (1 indoor on 50th floor plus a skyroom restaurant on 52d floor).

6. John Hancock Tower - Boston (Had one indoor).

7. Old JH Building - Boston (Had 1 indoor).

8. A 1,000-ft 75 - 80-story office tower (nicknamed Tommy's Tower) - Boston (one planned indoor, plus a skyroom restaurant - proposed but not yet approved or u/c)

9. SWFC - Shanghai (1 planned indoor, u/c).

10. Burj Dubai - Burj Dubai (1 planned outdoor, u/c).

11. Sears Tower - Chicago (1 indoor).

12. John Hancock Center - Chicago (1 indoor).

13. Freedom Tower - New York (1 WTC. 1 planned indoor plus a planned skyroom restaurant, u/c).

14. JPMorgan Chase Tower - Houston (1 indoor obs deck on 60th floor. 75 flrs total).

There may be more that I don't know about.

Absolutely. People suddenly come out of the woodwork to straighten out others posting wrong/incorrect ssp diagrams, but when it comes to photographs, many here are not credited. Even those that are posted by mods "who have been here a long time" and even right after the comments made to others, pics are still posted without credit.

It's not that hard to do since almost all are coming from Flickr anyway. Photogs work much harder, fly many miles, and spend a lot of $$$ to produce pics for you kids. Also give them the respect you want to give to pixel buildings.

So it took over 3 weeks for only one floor? There is no concrete anymore, it should be faster now...progress is too slow :-(
