@VännHenrykk
spectacular! to scroll down the 160mp version takes forever on my 15" screen-
this thing is Gi-normous

--Q--
Won“t the exterior elevators stay there until almost in the end? so the clad-empty-stripes that we are seeing on upper cladding will be there for quite some time??

---A---

Vanhenrick that is a huge photo on the building. You seem to come up with great shots most of the time.

Hey Vanhenrik, do you know the person who took that 160 Megapixel photograph? I want to know what camera and lense he used. Cheers
Btw, are you sure that its 160 megapixels or is it 16 megapixels??

What are you talking about? A megapixel is 1 million pixels, so 6,400x19,012 is 121,676,800 pixels meaning 121 megapixels. The file size is 26 MB.

Back to the topic. Any idea if Burj Dubai will be partly opened before the construction ends? Seems that September 2009 (or even December 2009) is getting too close.

I doubt it since there is a lot of work on the ground to be done.

The local regulations do not allow any structure to be habitable before it passes all the Municipality inspections and get awarded all the safety and other certifications, which will never be arranged before the structure is completed, so there will be no partial handover, while the cranes still works on top.

Ok. Interesting in a way as keeping the building closed especially if there are delays is extremely expensive. In the USA the regulations seem to differ: Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago was partly opened in January, but the construction is still going on and will be completed in 2009.

doesent really matter in dubai. even with delays it still costs a heck-of-alot less to build than in america.
