Is the steel section going to remain hollow like that, or will some kind of flooring be put on each floor? Man...if it's left hollow, just imagine standing inside of it looking up/down 200 meters. Scary

It looks like there is already some kind of corrugated steel flooring. Maybe that's just temporary though.

As long as you understand a 360 degree directional compass my methodology explains the direction each terrace faces.

Oh yes, I shouldnt have included 27.

Does that make sense?
Yeah it made perfect sense
Fury makes the point that 19/20 are reversed from the way you showed them though ie they fall off in an anti-clockwise direction. So I assume if this is the case then 22/23 and 25/26 would also be reversed?

Hi all.

Hey B the setbacks go up clockwise all the way up the structure.

I guess not everyone is into flight sims and a 360 degree directional compass. 0 degrees is North, 180 degrees is South.

I will post part of my tier methodology again anyway for comparison to the crane pic showing the direction the terraces face. Just to keep it straight - what I call tier 18 terrace is the top or roof of tier 18 but is the first section of tier 19's balcony that you can walk out on.

I will use a 360 degree directional compass for the approximate direction the points of the wings face.

Tier 30 Top is a platform 1.5 M diameter with a hatch.
Tier 30 - pinnacle 4 is circular 1.2 M diameter.
Tier 29 - pinnacle 3 is circular 1.35 M diameter.
Tier 28 - pinnacle 2 is circular 1.5 M diameter.
Tier 27 - pinnacle 1 begins with tier 26 terrace facing 180, then rises up circular 2.1 M diameter.

Tier 24, 25, and 26 wings are 1.5 M long.
Tier 26 - spire 5 begins with tier 25 terrace facing 60 then rises up with 1 wing facing 180.
Tier 25 - spire 4 begins with tier 24 terrace facing 300 then rises up with 2 wings facing 60 and 180.
Tier 24 - spire 3 begins with tier 23 terrace facing 240 then rises up symmetrically with 3 wings facing 60, 180, and 300.

Tier 21, 22, and 23 wings are 6 M long.
Tier 23 - spire 2 begins with tier 22 terrace facing 120 then rises up with 1 wing facing 240.
Tier 22 - spire 1/roof 4 begins with tier 21 terrace facing 0 then rises up with 2 wings facing 120 and 240.
Tier 21 - roof 3 begins with tier 20 terrace facing 240 then rises up symmetrically with 3 wings facing 0, 120, and 240.

Tier 18, 19, and 20 wings are 6 M long.
Tier 20 - roof 2 begins with tier 19 terrace facing 120 then rises up with 1 wing facing 240.
Tier 19 - roof 1 begins with tier 18 terrace facing 0 then rises up with 2 wings facing 120 and 240.
Tier 18 begins with Tier 17 terrace facing 300 then rises up symmetrically with 3 wings facing 0, 120, and 240.

Hope this clears things up.

This is the coolest structure ever - i really enjoy analysing the complexity of the tiers and levels - does it show ...

They should have put a second observation level up here.

24th April update

Pics from this afternoon.

First signs of 1st floor mechanical gaps closing.

Also work goes on at the fountain location looks as though its destined for another area.

Last pick shows another entrance taking shape at lake side of BD.

great updates otr..the mech floors cladding really does compliment the typical floors cladding. like a banding.
yes the 8th steel section is well underway. hopefully 9th section will start soon. which will bring it to 643m.
otr-how tall will the fountain be? i heard 150m? that would be incredible. We have one her in Cnberra which is 134m and is amazing to watch.
