Nice fish-eye lens shot

I wonder, if at almost a kilometer up, whether the curvature of the horizon becomes noticeable. Obviously, it does in a distorted lens, but what about the naked eye?

I doubt it.
It's very faint even in an airplane.

Hey guys, does the curvature of the horizon becomes noticeable at the top of a 1819 meters high mountain...? BD is nearly at sealevel... I think you can only recognize the curvature in a plane or in a space ship...(but when I see some pictures from NASA at the space station - the curvature is also not very strong)

I Hike up Mountains for a hobby. You will not see any Curvature from the top of a 1819 Meter Mountain.

Crazy Dave, my hobby is also hiking and i was at a top of a 3000m mountain and I also havenīt seen the curvature of the horizon...

So they have to build a 100km-tower

At 819m height, the horizon will be about 1 degree below horizontal. That is easily observable with the naked eye, but in the absence of any reference, you will not notice it.

Design & Construction methods question.

So, in the design of Burj Dubai, would the engineers/architects have either...

considered how it would be constructed at all stages throughout the design...
or
would it have gone to an advanced stage of design, then following this, had methods for its construction formed? and then had any issues obviously changing the design?

I'm essentially trying to get an idea of how much the construction of a building can effect the design, and I figure that in such a building as the Burj, where there has previously been no other building in its category, that this would likely have been an issue.
Cheers
