Holy fracking sh!t! I didn't realise there was a straight-vertical, un-tiered facade on the BD.

When she's complete, the bottom of that pic is where I'll be standing and looking up!

Externally completed by late feb 2009... but what about the grand new year celebration that was planned? If I remember correctly they're gonna do the worlds largest fireworks ever? That's not so cool at aconstruction site, eh?

Id guess that if that is too happen the base needs to be cleaned up and of course, construction halted.

1800ft puts you at the top of the concrete section...and into the steel section.

I remember the balcony to the right ( with the hoist scaffold) looked further down when viewed from from the first steel section...
Also last week there was a platform ( for fitting the exterior cladding) sticking out ...right about where this picture looks like it was taken from !
If my memory serves correctly I think I passed that platform on floor 140 'something'

Thats where I reckon this pic has been shot from.
Actually Downfallen the top of the concrete section is at 586m or 1922 ft and then the steel section rises. I'm simply estimating the number of concrete floors above the highest point of the cladding as compared to recent shots of the building at a normal vertical viewing angle.

Look again at the building and see how high the cladding is, and then estimate 7 or 8 floors of bare concrete above that. That is how I got my guess.

They will either
-become a permanent part of the building
-they will be allowed to get rusted and diffused in the envirenment slowly
-they will cut down the base of the crane and it will fall down bouncing on each tier before hitting the ground
. j/k
