steel floors are really tall now exactly 57.6 metres high. This is tall but just looks tiny because its insignificant compared to rest of the tower's giagantic size.

But I think its best to go to the dessert when its 45 degrees Celsius to get the real dessert experience, in comparison to when it's only a meezely 25 degrees Celsius in December.

In july it will only set me back a couple of € thousand
Is that a couple of thousand per night? lol, still not affordable imo, but i guess it is when put beside the high season costs.

Well if you go in 2010 instead of 2009, you will be able to go inside the Burj Dubai and visit its observation view. The chances of BD being opened in July 2009 are not worth risking especially if you won't be able to return to Dubai for some time after that. Plus the view from the BD OB will be better as by then the city skyline would have developed and expanded as well as many more projects and the area itself in general.
Another thing you may want to keep in mind too is that since the BD will be opened in 2010, you may want to consider staying in the BD Armani hotel rather than the Al Arab - now I wonder how much that will set you at?

Happy Travels

btw, sweet photos and contributions by everyone; keep up the good work. 3m to go for Worlds Tallest Ever Ever Ever built on land!! So...whos going to host the celebration party??
