IMRE, would you have a idea..... or guess how far you could see in the horizon? I'm just curious how far someone could see from that height.

THANKS IMRE. just truly amazing. we are blessed to see these photos.
just on its on going height. we have to remember everytime a new steel section is added, we must not forget the steel tubes stick 2m higher then the floor level.
thus current height which is 643m, add 2m, thus 645m.
see pic>

I love Imre's new pictures but when I look at them something seems a little weird about them. What's weird is that you're already high in the "sky" but there is this building that's up in the sky with you. It's almost like..."hey, what are you doing here? Are you really touching the ground?"

Ok, maybe I'm just weird but when you get into uncharted skyscraper territory the height just seems unreal and Imre's latest pictures really show it.

I went insane after watching the last set of pictures... They're so surreal, yet the Burj Dubai is as real as it gets

I can perfectly remmember a few years ago, when they announced this building and I saw the first renderings of it and I thought: those "crazy" (in a good way) Arabs took skyscrapers to extreme.

We are lucky to be witnesing this in real time, no matter how far in the planet se live

Hi all.

Amazing round of pics Imre - fanf*&@ingtastic !!

Helghast is correct on the direction of the next setback but they will finish the 3rd section of tier 18 symetrically (3 wings) like the first 2 sections then the setback will be on the next steel section (the first section of tier 19).

Cul - you are correct on the fact the columns stick up past 6.4 m. I have been using height numbers for the horizontal beams although they are slightly below the planned floor height because of a slab and / or whatever they are using to make the actual floor. For simplicity sake I will still call the beams the same as the floor height and use those for the height of the structure. Technically though the overall height is a meter or 2 higher because of the columns sticking up.

Here is another in my plan comparison showing tier 18 top and the levels (I have one for the top of each tier as the structure reached that point - also the 4 that compare directly to the plans up to the top of the concrete) using one of Imre's great shots - cropped, rotated, and blown up.

The BD is going to look so great when it is finished.

Thankyou Imre for all the images you take!!
(Just wondering, what is the correct way of pronouncing Imre?)
