With more cladding coming on it's really starting to look semi-finished.

An epic tower.

I'm not sure whether or not this has been posted before but this article mentions boutique offices:

Edit: helghast has already posted this on page 331. http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...34013&page=331 I know how much we all love reposts.

Aside from that does anyone know how many square feet these boutique offices are supposed to contain? Those floor plates sticking out are probably much bigger than they seem from just looking at the picture. I would guess the doorway into the main core would house a lobby or equipment unless part of the boutique office goes inside the core wall.

its seems that the metal frame work take them longer(time wise ) than the cement .

Methinks the physical lifting of tonnes of steel would be the time constraint to the framework going up - when the cement was being laid, this would be an almost constant process - but surely, everyone is in awe as to how it is progressing.

i dont want it to go faster. this is the history in making. after its built, everyone seems to get bored with it and move to next tallest ect. i love watching a structure grow slooooowly.
This is the most exciting part coming up over next few months so strap yourself in!

Plus I would like them to take their time so nothing becomes screwed up because someone cut corners or was rushing to finish their task.

Yeah, slowly is good, because there will always be another 'next biggest' after the Burj Dubai; so enjoy it while it lasts (thinks: in 90 years time - Space Elevator, beat that!)

I couldn't agree more.

Yes the spire jacking proceedure is gonna be cool. It will be very interesting to see exactly how they do it.

I rather enjoyed the fact that they got way behind in the cladding too. We could really see the structure from top to bottom and see what was happening. The cladding does look good now though.

Imre - another great update - lots of different angles and close-ups - nice.

Did anyone else notice how close the metro is to the Dusit ? They might as well went through the middle opening. I wonder how the owners feel about it ?

That would be cool if someone made a super fast motion video of the entire construction, but I doubt anyone has been filming the site nonstop.

emmar or SOM would have been crazy not to. but you would have had to have a high vantage point from the start. the only tall one near BurjD which would have been ideal would be Millienium tower.its 250m roof would be ok for a stop motion (1 pic per day) from 2006. bugger

like I mentioned before, there has got to be an AMAZING stop motion in the making, we have allready seen one spectacular but that was only half of the construction, but still there must have gone years in making of it, and the people behind that are for sure continuoing the work, so lets expect an good one in the end.

I think they're continuing the camera capture, if you look at that samsung video it captures the top part of the tower where it progresses, I think the camera is still at work. But I reckon there's another better camera that captures whole of the structure from beginning to the end, which has to be much further away from the tower.

Which video?

Ten more towers and it will look like a city in a science fiction movie
