[QUOTE=CULWULLA;21603972]good guess. stainless steel.

heres a repost of pinnacle detail
as you can see tier24 or lev198 is highest level you can get to without climbing up inside ladder inside pinnacle.
You can access tier roofs tier 25,26 and 27 through pinnacle ladder.

So my question is-Would you classify tier24 as roof?

[QUOTE=CULWULLA;21603972]

Nice detail Cul, but it's not right, the highest floor is 205, not 206, and I believe it does not have an outdoor terrace, but you may want to check with Fury on that one. I think there is a floor plate above 205 but it acts as a roof for 205, but I'm not 100% sure on that. The start of Tier 24 is level 197 btw. I think the width you have at the bottom is more like 7m but Fury will know for sure I think.

Nice detail though!

And there's also nothing to support you if you slip and fall. You could fall nearly 100 metres and die a tragic death at BD spire.

What are you talking about? There is no external ladder on BD's spire. It is inside the structure.

isn't the roof tier 18B, 643.3 metres already? Some might say it should be tier 26 where cladding ends.

in my opinion the ladder has to have some climbing help accsesories, so that the man going up rather hang around on a safety line than fall :>

This skyscraper is absolutely stunning! Despite the fact it's not finished yet, already takes a breath away!

Rich,
I have a question about the pinnacle. As you climb the interior ladder the inside diameter of the pinnacle gets narrower...so does that mean that the ladder will "lean back" at each segment that the pinnacle gets a smaller I.D.?
Just a thought.
Thanks,
steve

What if the ladder runs straight up in the center and not alongside the walls? Problem solved.

Dubai really should build the world's largest air purifier now. The amount of sand in the air is ridiculous, and the city would have *another* record.
Nice looking building btw. I didn't like the highrise-mania going on in Dubai at the beginning, but now everything is taking shape, I'll have to change my mind

I think that barrier of buildings will act as an air purifier.
