On the top?

Oh yes, there will be a restaurant for one man but you have to cook the meal by yourself with no appliances, just a aircraft beacon.

No there will be no restaurant on the top... The top habitable floors will house luxury penthouses...

Hey Imre, in www.burjdubaiskyscraper.com in the june 12th section are those taken on june 12th? Because update above from june 13th shows 11th steel floor with good progress but in june 12th section of the website shows 11th steel floor with only few columns.

No, it will NOT. The top habitable floors are boutique offices.

Just a guess but it could be for ventilation until the air conditioning is installed. Without any ventilation it would be awful hot to work inside the building. The location of the missing cladding makes sense since hot air rises.

Nope. The design of this doesn't stand out enough... it would look great if cladding was original rather than your typical curtain-wall glass suspended by mullions. A 'revolutionary' building like this should be revolutionary in all aspects, not just construction but also through use of materials. That said, it is still very impresssive. Even more so the speed of construction!

I think the cladding on the Burj is absolutely top notch. Compare it to something like SWFC and the quality+design of the Burj cladding really just can't be beat. I might even go to say it's the best facade in the world.
