EXACTLY!

(Plus the history of previous media releases and statements from Emaar, would support that theory.)

The Burj Dubai's final height is rumoured to be between 700 and 1,000 metres. Local media reports last year said the final height would be 818 metres, citing architects drawings posted on the internet.

Emaar said in addition to increasing the building's height, it was also upgrading its interior finishes.

"Burj Dubai is now pushing its own record breaking standards further, with the height and design enhancements," Emaar Chairman Mohamed Ali Alabbar said in a statement.
Well, that does sound like it's going higher than 818.

Unless you don't trust media. There are good reasons not to blindly trust them.

Point is ... so far they don't make clear from what reference high it is going to be increased. Is 818m inlcuding the increase? Or is it increased up from 818m?

www.burjdubai.com says that official height is 636m as of 19.6.2008, when it is whole 20m taller. Why are they misguiding the people?
