Hi all.

While everyone is entitled to their opinion there is certain places you don't voice it. More than once I've heard people defending haters on here.

I agree more discussion on various topics about the structure would be good along with some constructive criticism. But people that come on here just to say they hate the thing does not lead to any discussion or any thought provoking viewpoints. All it really amounts to is little bastards coming here to disrupt adult conversation. As someone told me here ( who shall remain nameless- ) sometimes this forum is like a teen chat room.

I have nothing against our younger forum members as most can interact in a meaningful way. But anyone who comes here just to say they hate the BD are not contributing anything. They shouldn't be on here they should be going and having their daddy teach them some tolerance.

Opinions are like *******s - everyone has one - just some stink more than others. There is better places to go to air stink about the Burj Dubai.

End Rant.

Hey Helghast - your scan is not very good. It is hard to pick out any differences to all the other newest renders we have now. As I have said before the structure is being constructed to the plans exactly and the newest renders I have are very close to the plans with some minor errors in only the cladding. If the renders in the book have a different tier methodology they are not correct. They may have been drawn before the plans were changed. Also the one you scanned is from the other side of the structure than most that I have so it will look different.

My first posting of photos - apologies for failure.

Visited BD site on 16 June, same day as last major photo update by OTR. It was my 5th visit. Weather was awful, very dusty day.

Then merge them using software such as Photomatix - it then makes a picture taking the best levels from both automatically!
You can get some amazing photos with unholy light effects - google HDR

Ladies and gentlemen "The Burj" will be dwarfed in height because the "Al Burj" is renamed as "Tall Tower" the height of the tower is 1.4km!

It will remain tallest for quite a while though, and luckily the two giants have some space between them.

Article from MEED website, you can only open article is you're a subscriber (but i'm guessing its the same article as link above)

But it will for now be taller than Mile high tower planned in Jeddah. I just want to see any new rendering of Al burj. (not the blue one released recently)

Big question: how far away is 'al burj' or 'tall tower' gonna be from Burj dubai???

Sorry to disappoint you but there will be NO mile-high tower build in Jeddah. It has been reported already that the tower has been scaled down to around 1 km because of technical reasons.

Al Burj/Tall Tower is 20 - 25 kms away from Burj Dubai.

OTR, did you see if they'd already started with the 12th floor?

ZZ, it wasnt started before it got dark tonite, but very near to completion on the 11th level.

I took a load of pics today but due to the sand storms I didnt think they were worth posting.

I wake up to a BD view every morning so as soon as it happens I will post.

I can see a lot of welding at the moment (dark) on the 11th floor steel, so I can guess some more work to complete.

Maybe it's just me...but they don't seem to be making very much progress on the addition of levels. I just when through 50 pages in this thread (the last 50) and I can't tell much of a difference after over a month of "construction."

Why's it taking them so long to get simple steel floors up?!

I asked some time ago if there's any webcam showing top of BD, people said no. OTR, is that webcam or no? If it is then I would appreciate a link to it.
