Maybe the tower will have lights all over it for special occasions, like New Year's or something?

I've been sporadically following the building of the burj dubai for years. I can't believe it will top out soon.

Neither do I. I started following the construction a year and a half by now. Too bad it's going to end very soon...

And then everybody will focus on the next thing, probably Al Burj/Tall Tower, whatever-they-are-naming-it-now gargantuan thing.

Yes, or the other supertalls. I'm sure there will come another massive skyscraper.

I could go back to Part 15, but that's it. The other I posted above is I think the first post, don't you think?

The Burj Al Arab lighting looks beautiful.

As for Burj Dubai lighting I agree that it would be awful to have light shining from the building exterior into your office or residence at night. I think seeing the random internal lighting from the hotel, residences and offices will look beautiful glittering at night from a distance. Most tall buildings don't seem to have extravagant exterior lighting anyway. I can only think of the Bank of China Building in Hong Kong that has that type of lighting.

Will The BD Top Out by Year End?

The first steel column was put in place on December 6th 2007 where since then there has been 233 days of steelwork activity up until the 15th level commenced.

From 1st August 08 there are 153 days of the year remaining, so will the BD top out by the year end as has been asked a few times over the last few days? bearing in mind the spire will have less steelwork as the height increases?

I will go for a yes

The first floors, the workers need to learn how to do it, because it's all new to them. Once the first floors are ready, the rest is just routine.
