Yeah I agree. Cause all the info you want to know is spread over 500 pages and if you want to know something that has already been asked you get bashed and told to check previous posts and there are like 10,000 of them. Time for a new thread with all the latest Info.

818.0 m. is going to be the height going by the plans and that will not change. Even though the CTBUH measurement that will be done upon completion may be as high as 825.1 m. that does not change the 818 from the floor of Ground level to the floor of the platform on top. The 825.1 would include the handrail for the top platform and the Concourse level as there is an entrance there - IF they go with that height.

They will measure it from the ground level, so I guess the official height will be 819.1 m. CTBUH's guideline is to measure from the sidewalk level in front of the "main entrance" which should be on the ground floor. They don't care if there is an access at lower levels or not.

Since the handrail is a part of the building's design and not an additional feature like an antenna (without the handrail you cannot do the maintenance on the spire, so it is a part of the building), they should measure it to the top of the handrail.

But if they have completely separate elevators for each entrance and call every single entrance as a "ground floor" on their respective elevators (i.e. Ground floor for the Armani Hotel, ground floor for residences etc..), that would be very confusing... But even then i think they will consider the main entrance as the one where the height 818m is taken from on the drawings. I don't know how they will solve this confusion with the levels, will you enter the Armani Hotel at level B2 or something? I'm sure you know these details better then any of us Fury...

Hi all.

All 3 entrances open to "grade" on their respective sides. The CTBUH measures from grade to the highest permanent part of the structure so the Concourse level may be a legit starting point. All 3 do have their own sets of elevators and their own elevators to their respective parking.

- Concourse level entrance - faces approx. 120 degrees - Boutique office lobby.

- Ground level entrance - faces approx. 240 degrees - Resident lobby is right by the entrance - Observatory elevator lobby is right above the Boutique office lobby.

- Level one entrance - faces approx. North - Hotel lobby.

be aware those who find British accent annoying.
Does someone on this earth really find a British accent annoying? I find them to be pleasant, haha...although her's wasn't the greatest.

Cool that it's getting all this press, though, but random as well. I mean, what's so special about 688? 700 on the other hand...

Oh, CULWULLA, one tiny thing about your diagram... It's "visible", not "visable". Sorry to be nitpicking.

What about that extravagent party? The opening of the Atlantis Hotel. A party with a performance of 1 hour with Kylie Minogue, for 2,5 million dollars. And fireworks that are 5x bigger then Beijing '08 and it will be seen from space. Anymore information about this? Sorry for me being off topic.

That is a beautiful picture, it reminds me of something like out of a science fiction film.

As you already knew (hopefully), there was a huge fire in the Atlantis Hotel, so I don't know if the opening date will stay the same. (although hotel owners claim to open on the exact same date)

About the fire: http://dubai.mag3.be/index.php?optio...:constructions
