Progress

Hi all.

Section 21B (the third and last of tier 21) seems to be mostly done in less than a week. With the smaller area they are really moving along. I guess we will soon see if they erect all 3 sections of tier 22 before starting the jacking proceedure.

Section 22 (the first section of tier 22) will have a terrace / setback facing North. Tier 22 is the fourth and last roof tier as well as the first spire tier.

Thanks Fury for clearing that up. Good to have someone who perfectly knows how everything sticks together.

Definately a quick floor, 21C. This morning it almost seems completed, but I'm curious to the jacking system which is placed at this floor. Maybe the support for the system is in the underlaying floors, which took a lot more time to construct. But also this equipment needs to come out after jacking. We'll see.. Next weeks however will be exciting and after that the jacking will be even more exciting!

Today's pics:

The top part of Burj dubai is starting to really look like the render design.

Indeed.

Question: is the cladding work progressing? Because I can't see any differences in the pictures from the last week(s).

I think they are closing the gaps at the lower levels where the outside elevators used to be, as well as working on the mechanical floors. It doesn't make much sense to go upward anyway, considering that those floors will not be habitable and will not have much MEP or interior plastering to be done.

definitely the highest proposal in the planet as seen in the horizon

and the second goes to:

Philippines, Pagcor Tower (proposal), a casino in manila

Burj Dubai has the height of 850 meters (as claimed by many), next goes at 650 meters

Probably not, by the time it is built (if it is)Burj Dubai will itself be the second tallest (maybe 3rd) and if you count all the proposals it may be even farther down the list than that.

Sooooo .... - you wanna get technical do ya ?

The structure is 700.9 m. above the floor of the ground level.

The ground level is 11.5 m. above the Dubai municipal datum.

The DMD is some 1 m. above sea level (I read that somewhere but I can't seem to dig it up - so this point is suspect - but I think it is close).

Sooooo - the altitude is 713.4 m.
