Your wife isn't too happy is she?
You must have been there BMHT.

Not at all happy, she was in the car when I went for my little adventure, so I got it in both ears in particular as I was having a little tussle with security when she appeared around the gap in the fence.

On the spire note correct me if I'm wrong

The parts of spire go up and gets placed into the steel floors, each parts get welded together, then when full spire length is reached the wheel thing will push up the spire to the right height. But when the spire is placed at right height, is it partly gonna be welded to the parts of the steel floors? or is there other supports to support the weight of the spire?

If they have all the parts of the spire queing up by Burj dubai's foot, it would be waste of space and there'll be lot of them. I doubt this is the top of the spire though. but it looks like part of the spire where the spire becomes slightly narrower.

And wouldn't top of the spire have more to it at its tip? with lighting bulbs or lasers or whatever.

Three Cheers for Old Town Resident

If they gave an award for Best Photos of the Year, these would be it.

Sorry you were caught by security. Love the pictures, though!

If you look at the tip of the spire in the pictures it does have a guardrail like part at the end. who knows

Anyway, there was a video from ages ago showing how the spire will be made. they add the bottom part, then lower it down, add the next part, lower it down, keep doing so untill its all complete.. then they jack it all up at once.

its korean comentary saying they construct the whole length of the spire inside the tower first (things like welding and etc) then push it up using that mechanism. But to think it can push up all that immense weight is just amazing.

This part is obviously not up there, but how do we know that the remaining parts are not already inside Burj Dubai? Since you can see only one piece, there is a big chance the others are up there.

The logo destroys the beauty of the building IMO. And luckily that security didn't take the camera away...
