Did you do any research before making this bold statement? I think a brief amount of time (perhaps 5 minutes) should be sufficient for you to realise your statement is totally incorrect.

I believe BD will be Dubai's ESB. Taller towers will be built but BD will hold a special place in the hearts of Dubai residents' and tower lovers all over the world. Nakheel may have stolen BD's limelight for a week or two but as soon as the spire jacking starts they'll all come flooding back!

Hey guys

Thanks for answering my question about the fountains in the Burj Dubai Lake!

I have a new question:
About 5 floors below the first tier (or second one, i am not sure), one corner appartment seems to be always lit at night nowadays, while all other floors are dark

Is somebody (like the big boss) already living here???? You can see the lights in the appartment really good on the photos of Dennis and Old Town Resident. (photo's taken from the 63th floor of the Address for instance)

I kind of already compare it with that one island in the World that has already got a villa on it, and the boss/investor is living there now.

Does anybody have information about this (so information, not just a hinch)

Enjoy...

Another pic (from this morning) coming.
Is that part of the spire visible through the steel structure in tier 20? If it is then at least 40 meters is inside.

Thanks
Its crazy standing up there, 270 meters high (in a not yet opened bar) and still looking up to BD. Makes you think you're still on the groundlevel.. But an amazing view indeed!

Hi all.

Good eye glen.

We can see the pinnacle pipe well down into tier 19. The base of the pinnacle pipe will end up in section 20B. This is why the base of the pinnacle will only be installed after jacking as they need the room to extend down well past section 20B for the jacking proceedure.

The jacking plan shows a void right down to the concrete. If the pinnacle sticking out the top is 1.5 m. dia as has been estimated there is room to lower what is there now - add to the top of it - repeat untill the top platform is what we see sticking out. There is approx. 30 m. from the 1.5 m. dia. tier 29 to the top of the pinnacle and over 60 m. from tier 19 down to the concrete. Then they can do the first stage of jacking. Also I think they will attach the fins as they jack - I don't see how they will get them up there later - we shall see.

Hey Ember and Build.

Unless they changed the plan (which they have to some extent already) what we see now is as high as it is going to get before jacking. They have all 3 sections of one wing of tier 22 up now and 1 section of the other wing. The plan is (was) to do the other 2 sections of tier 22 second wing and start jacking.

EDIT - those are some stunning shots from the address Dennis. Thanks for all your update shots.

Hi all.

It was above up untill recently. The crane doesn't have to climb any higher to finish the structure after jacking.

Another tier top reached - thanx to Dennis for the shot.

Here is the next in my pic to plan comparison - again thanx to Dennis for the shot. I'll post the entire comparison - the top comparison is new.
