720 meters is:

- 2.2 times the Eiffel Tower or the Burj al-Arab
- 1.7 times the World Trade Center
- 1.4 times the Taipei 101

This is nuts..

I don't come here often enough to this thread. The BD is really progressing - it's beautiful to see it so fully clad and it's exciting to think it's so near the top now. OK, it's got another ~100m to go, but given how little material goes into that I can't see it taking a massive time to top out now.

I can't decide which I'd prefer more - an apartment in the BD or an apartment facing it...

Dubai at night looks awesome too!

Is it just me, or am I thinking that just everyone is freakin' out because the top is almost there?

they'll rise the crane soon, won't they?

another question: do they take materials up with that crane from ground level? it's gonna take a while, isn't it? does anybody have a photo of the proceedings? thanks!

i was wondering the same thing, because it looks kinda hard to move it around now
about lifting stuff up, they have a crane in one of the lower terraces,
and i think that is the one that lifts them from the ground, but i may be wrong
