The spire has been jacked up? It looks like it's sticking out a lot more than on yesterday's pictures.

Yes, it's a good pic, and it was posted and repeat-posted plenty of times back in May.

I don't think the spire has been jacked up, seams at the same height to me.

Good news about the spire but the top 2 steel floors haven't been in action for a while.

LOL

I feel bad for the people who toiled 2 months to come up with the name. What a way for Emmar to give out money, they could have just named it 'Fountain' and saved some money.

I would never think of that name, not in a million years.

Hi all.

Thanks for the pics guys.

Imagehost.org is the only hosting site out there that will link the full size pic to a thumb or to a link in forums. Imageshack used to but no longer does for giant pics nor does tinypic, pictiger, or pic 4 us. Imagehost also allows multi-uploading. If the file is less than 1 meg it will allow the actual image to appear on the forum otherwise only thumbs or links. It will also allow other files such as PDF's or any other file type - for these it allows a link on the forum which takes you to a download page - sweet.

I tried giant pics and some big PDF's - works great. I hope this one stays around as a few have come and gone. This will be my hosting site of choice now as I have been looking for one that links to FULL size pics for a while now. The other file types that are not image files is a welcome bonus.

So if "you" decide to use it too there is no need to resize your pics - put up thumbs or links to their full sized glory for us all.

Back OT.

I see they did not attach the 2 fins that the welding platform was in the way of half way up tier 30 pinnacle.

The pinnacle has not been jacked any as the transition to the 1.35m. dia. tier 29 is still at the top of section 22 as can be seen in the second pic by tThye.

What I wouldn't give to get to go up there and see what is happening at the top of the pinnacle right now. There is more "things" sticking up above the top of tier 30 now. They seem to be close together. The plans show the uprights for the railing around the top platform are spaced 60 degrees apart and that they are bolted to the floor of said platform - the floor is 1.5m. dia. so when it is placed on the 1.2m. dia. tier 30 it will be easy to see and it is not up there yet. So what are the "things" ? - what are they for ? - so many questions ....

Perhaps if someone gets us some shots with a bigger lens we will be able to tell what they are for.

Anyway thanks to all the photogs in dubai - any and all pics are much appreciated.
