Hi all.

Great shots OTR.

The top of the pinnacle we see right now is the very top of tier 30 and will be at the very top of the structure after jacking.

The floorplate for the top platform was supposed to be 1.5m. dia. compared to the 1.2m. dia. tier 30 pinnacle. The fins are 300 mm. so the floorplate would be larger than the pinnacle by one half the width of the fin.

The monorail for the lights was supposed to be out further than the width of the fins. See here.

I am wondering if they have changed the plan for the top platform ;
1 - I agree with OTR that there is a collar at the top of the pinnacle and it could be at least partially capped off - there will still have to be a hatch when all is said and done.
2 - I agree with Ember that the 3 structures at the top look like frames for the light beacons.

See now if Emaar would get after sending us up to date plans we would be in the loop.

Here is the best render of how the top platform is (was) supposed to look.

i think the light boxes are going to be mounted on them. they probably act more like an anchor secured to the base spire.

Hi all.

Picasa - Nader - 08 11 01
The last 5 were angled so I took the liberty of straightening and cropping them.

You also don't see those 3 hole's/windows on the plans. I think there is going to be a large platform or something placed on top of all that.
