Just saw the movie Body of Lies and Burj Dubai was shown in 2 - 3 schenes when it was around 80 - 100 floors

... however for people living here or very familiar with the place, the most interesting part it was the reference to another (used to be) Dubai "institution", heard off well beyond the borders. I certanly wouldn't have thought that will come up.

Great video of the BASE jump!

I can imagine what the construction workers' faces looked like

A picture from the access to Palm Jumeirah, at around 16km linear distance to Burj Dubai:

I'm going to dubai in 15 days so i was wondering how to look at the burj the best ( even if we can see it from everywhere )

Thank you, hope i'll bring some nice pictures

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this but on the CTBUH website under the technical papers section, there's a detailed document on the Burj Dubai construction, including how the spire is planned to be put up (last page).

http://www.ctbuh.org/Publications/Te...1/Default.aspx

document to download is called "Brief on the Construction Planning of the Burj Dubai Project, Dubai, UAE"

What DFC area? Even if you are referring to DIFC it is further away then Dubai Mall.

Very enlightening, piginapoke! According to this, the entire pinnacle is already up there! A quote: "...the pinnacle pipe sections are stacked from level 156..."
