Here is a fantastic photograph taken from the Gulf News and shows an Emirates 777, flying along side the Red Arrows over the Burj Dubai - The display took place during the recent Dubai Air Show

Oh wow, sweet picture. Do you have a higher resolution version of that? I would use it as my desktop.

Welcome back Skytower.

I loved your post, that put the cat amongst the pigeons! It almost seems to be a religion, that people believe what they are told! As far as I am concerned, the official figures are quite likely wrong. If they are likely to try to hide the height, it will be with misinformation!! That is why the updates on the official website are so bad.

Montage

Hey guys, knowing how many deepblood Burj fanatics are amongst us I would like to ask one thing; Does anyone keep a good database of images of construction since early stages (beginning) that is willing to make a small montage of maybe 10 or 20 images from beginning to end

I was doing that on my PC, but it crashed
so all my pics are gone, and therefore my sequense of construction

hope someone has made one

Hi Spandex,

Sorry to hear about your PC, it happened to me a couple of years ago and it is a disaster.

Talk to Fury about pics, he has over 10,000 from what I recall.

Sadly, Monkey's Uncle, I took the pic from the Gulf News website and thats the only version available. The pic was taken from the following gallery, if you would like to check it out:

Fury has tons (as was already mentioned) so maybe he could do it. I've also been saving a lot as I have just under 4,000 shots, most of the tower construction as well.

Hi all.

Hey Spandex. Perhaps I can help you with your computer. I am a certified tech. I am hoping you don't mean your hard drive crashed. We all should be backing up our data just in case that does happen. Hardware is replaceable - data is not in some cases.

I do have what I call my construction slideshow. 26 ( so far ) approx. monthly shots all taken from approx. the West from SZR. I posted a couple months ago but i will repost - all as thumbs as most are large.

Gimme a few .....

I would suggest Picassa web from google, works great for slide shows. ( free )

e.g. http://picasaweb.google.com/harry.r..../400NLSDCSHeli

OK Here it is:

05 06, 05 09, 05 10, 05 11, 06 01, 06 02, 06 03, 06 04, 06 05, 06 06

06 07, 06 08, 06 09, 06 10, 06 11, 06 12, 07 01, 07 02, 07 03, 07 04

07 05, 07 06, 07 07, 07 08, 07 09, 07 10

Also here is a print of level 3 - Armani Spa.

So the 3 tips of podium 1 are 78 meters from the edge of the inner core and 102 meters from the center of the structure. Gives a good idea of the size of this thing - the length of a football field.

Enjoy.
