someone close to Burj Dubai take some pictures with the lightnings going on at the moment...

edit: by the way I was watching the sky on my balcony and just saw an explosion and the smoke on SZR near Al Barsha, I can't see what it is but the cars on SZR have stopped. And still loads of ambulances going there

It took a few pictures but managed to get one of the lightening hit on the Burj Dubai during tonights storm.

And the crane operator kept on working through it all.

On SZR there were police at the Emirates Hill rd. junction Dubai direction, they didnt let anybody through the SZR, people had to go to the Jumeirah rd. No idea what happened, couldn't see a thing. (few minutes ago). They still dont let anyone, I can see it from here.

OTR thats crazy! (btw check your PM)

That crane operator must be passionate about his work on the world's tallest building to stay in the world's tallest crane during a storm that could kill him. And, of course, it was only a matter of time before someone base jumped off this. I expect many more thrill seekers to try the same. Excellent pictures all around everybody.

If it weren't for the Faraday cage effect, this high roller could well have been one or two jewels short himself after that strike!
